For the announcement of Mists of Pandaria Classic, we were tasked with capturing the precise moment the shroud fell. The story follows a Pandaren warrior locked in deep meditation, haunted by fractured visions of his continent’s impending doom. As shadows of doubt and destruction threaten to consume his spirit, he fights back with an unbreakable act of will, banishing the darkness just as it nears its peak.

Bringing a beloved Blizzard cinematic style to life requires more than just high-quality renders; it requires an obsession with every frame’s intentionality. To achieve the mythic look of Pandaria, our pipeline integrated the best of industry-standard tools to handle everything from intricate fur simulations to volatile elemental magic.

To bring Blizzard’s vision to life, we deployed a heavy-hitting pipeline of ZBrush, Substance, and EmberGen. From the intricate fur of the Pandaren to the volatile magic of his visions, every frame was engineered for maximum emotional impact and technical precision, all mastered in a seamless sRGB workflow.

Realized between August and October 2024, this announce trailer served as the global face of Mists of Pandaria Classic. By blending a haunting atmosphere with high-octane action, we helped re-ignite the passion of millions of players as they prepared to rediscover the shrouded continent.
