Blizzard / The Siege of Orgrimmar

We had the privilege of partnering with Blizzard Entertainment to produce the official cinematic trailer for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic – The Siege of Orgrimmar. Under the direction of Radim "Hurricane" Zeifart, our goal was to breathe high-fidelity CGI life into this historic, nostalgia-fueled chapter, driving massive player engagement ahead of the global patch release.

The primary challenge lay in consistently maintaining an elite standard of quality across changing corporate teams and workflows within Blizzard. Every character model and environment had to honor over a decade of community nostalgia while simultaneously holding up to modern, cinematic 4K production demands and intense fan expectations.

To handle large-scale scenes with hundreds of characters, we utilized AI coding agents to develop our own internal, custom pipeline tools, removing any reliance on expensive third-party services. The ultimate game-changer was integrating software for real-time simulations of water and smoke. What historically took hours of rendering can now be updated instantly, giving us incredible space for rapid creative iteration.

The final cinematic triggered an overwhelming emotional response from the player community, achieving an exceptional 95% positive sentiment in early analysis. Rather than dissecting the technical perfection of the 3D assets, fans openly shared raw personal memories from a decade ago—proving the pipeline successfully fulfilled its ultimate creative mission of striking a deep chord.
