Monkey Meeting
A CGI Masterclass in Corporate Absurdity
ABOUT
The chaos of meetings: a CGI masterclass in corporate absurdity
Created for a workplace productivity platform, Monkey Meeting is a stylized CGI spot that tackles the universal frustration of unproductive meetings. Through sharp, character-driven storytelling, the film explores the descent from a professional presentation into absolute chaos. Though the project was eventually shelved due to shifting global trends, it remains a defining milestone for our studio—the project where we first learned to breathe life into complex digital creatures.

CHALLENGE
We navigated a marathon of 47 previs versions, constantly pivoting to align with an evolving creative vision
Simultaneously, we were building our creature pipeline from total scratch. Without prior experience in fur grooming or character-led comedy, every step forward was a technical experiment. We had to break our workflow repeatedly to figure out how to make stylized monkeys perform with the timing and soul required for high-end satire.
“It was a messy but essential project. We went through 47 versions, building our first creature and grooming pipeline from scratch. It forced us to figure things out the hard way, and what we learned back then still shapes how we approach production today.”
CRAFT
Using Cinema 4D and Octane Render, we developed our first-ever systems for grooming and complex character rigging
This was our baptism by fire in 3D character work. The technical focus was on achieving expressive, comedic performances that felt believable despite their stylized design. By integrating Foundry Nuke for compositing and DaVinci Resolve for final grading, we created a high-end cinematic look that balanced corporate clean lines with chaotic, hairy protagonists.

RESULT
While Monkey Meeting never saw a public release, its impact on our studio was revolutionary
The 14-month production forced us to master the hard way of doing things—skills that now allow us to deliver world-class work for giants like Blizzard and Ubisoft. It laid the groundwork for our current animation standards, proving that even a project that never hits the air can be the most valuable investment in a studio’s technical and creative evolution.
EXTRA
The beautiful mess: why we needed this project
In the industry, you often hear about the perfect productions, but Monkey Meeting was a beautiful mess. It was the project where we stopped being just 3D generalists and became creature specialists. The frustration of those 47 versions taught us how to handle complex client feedback and how to stay agile under pressure. We look back at this project not as a lost campaign, but as the rigorous training camp that made us the studio we are today.
